BCE Consulting's original website (built at the company's inception) was failing to convey the prestigious position BCE now occupies within the consulting realm.
Faced with a consulting firm website that hadn’t evolved since the firm’s inception despite sustained growth, BCE Consulting was looking for a website that would project an established, professional image to both potential clients and future team members.
Our approach involved an in-depth discovery meeting with key stakeholders and a meticulous evaluation of BCE Consulting’s existing website. Through these activities, we were able to identify critical areas in need of improvement to the design, functionality, and content.
This involved creating an engaging user journey that not only accurately portrayed the firm’s service and industry expertise but also showcased their thought leadership.
To set the firm apart from their rivals, we meticulously wove connections between thought leadership articles and the team members responsible for them, infusing a personal touch into each article and motivating potential customers and recruits to delve deeper into the website. This seamless connection extended to various service areas and industry specialties as well, ensuring that users would be able to discover content aligned with their specific interests.
While BCE Consulting didn’t provide formal brand guidelines, our design journey took off by using the firm’s logo and color palette as our guiding stars. These served as the cornerstone for the development of the visual design language employed across the site, which encompass the typography, image style, and an array of call-to-action designs.
We elected to use a minimalist, simple design that gave a nod to BCE’s ability to break down a business’s challenges and provide straightforward, no-bs advice. We wove thoughtful design elements throughout the site and created compelling contrast through the use of the color palette.
Our design process placed great importance on image sourcing and refinement. To effectively communicate BCE Consulting’s experience and expertise and appeal to their audience, the images integrated into the site were carefully selected to include a human element while maintaining a high degree of no-nonsense professionalism.
With a clear understanding that one of the primary objectives of this website was to spotlight the firm’s thought leadership and enhance recruitment, we intentionally chose to build the website on the WordPress platform. We tailored the content management system to enable the BCE team to seamlessly post new articles, career opportunities, team members, and industries, guaranteeing that these sections of the website remain dynamic and up-to-date.
We left no room for error as we subjected the new website to rigorous assessments across all major browsers and a range of mobile devices, prioritizing a user experience that is accessible and smooth.
After diligently resolving issues, we collaborated with the BCE team in an extensive training session. This session delivered a comprehensive walkthrough of the website’s functionalities and equipped the team to efficiently use their new content management system after the website’s launch.
Once everything was verified and ready to go, we launched the new site!
