Work could include any of the following:
- Client projects (roughly 80%)
- Internal projects (roughly 20% but could be higher in the future)
We’re looking for team players who can:
- Be hands-on when creating concepts, initial designs and during the revision cycle
- Work in collaboration with other designers in the design department, which may include junior, mid-level, senior and freelance designers
- Push for design innovation and uphold quality design/UX standards within the department
- Attend client meetings that relate to design
- Kickoff meetings with clients to understand project objectives, budgets, background information, and styles
- Partner with the project manager to communicate with clients whenever there are design presentations or design-related questions
- Be proactive about self-educating yourself in the latest web design and technology trends
- Spend intentional time each week exploring design and UX trends, reading articles related to web design, and building upon your knowledge
- Generously share knowledge with team members on things learned from self-education
- Position SPINX on the cutting edge of design by researching new tools and technologies and implementing them in the workflow
- Help educate other designers in the design department on new trends and ideas
- Move the design department towards a more agile design workflow, ideally by introducing and implementing new tools
- Raise design awareness across the company
- Share knowledge with the sales team on aspects of design and/or trends that would be relevant to bringing on potential clients
- Track all hours spent working in our time-tracking software
The above tasks and responsibilities cover most of our expectations, but there may be additional things that pop up from time to time that hasn’t been defined yet. Since we work in such tight collaboration, being a team player, maintaining open communication, possessing self-motivation, and being flexible to change when it comes is paramount to your success here at SPINX.
