A boring digital annual report was not an option for The California Endowment - they needed something that embodied the bold and vibrant diversity that encompasses the Californians they advocate for.
After documenting all the wishes and needs for the report this year, we conducted a competitive audit to see how similar organizations present their digital annual reports, aiming to make ours stand out. We also dove into a creative animation exploration to really bring the report to life with movement.
We carefully mapped out the user journey to ensure viewers could seamlessly navigate through the report and connect with the foundation’s purpose. Strategic cross-content link planning was crucial to seamlessly integrate all the different sections, and we built a fully fleshed out prototype to test the flow and layout of the digital annual report.
We incorporated high-quality images and videos to vividly showcase the foundation’s impact. Heartfelt stories about the work being done were highlighted to create a personal connection and financial information was presented clearly to ensure transparency.
A custom WordPress development was the perfect platform for making sure the digital annual report was quick-to-load and user-friendly. Our team made sure the build was responsive so it looked amazing on both desktop and mobile devices, and we programmed eye-catching animations to make the content dynamic and engaging.
