It was outdated, text-heavy, inconsistent, and, most importantly, it wasn’t built for the wide range of healthcare website audiences they support. Students, alumni, health systems, funders… everyone had different needs, and none of them were finding what they needed easily.
Before diving into design, we took the time to really get to know HCC by listening to their team, exploring their programs, and analyzing how they show up online. We looked closely at what their peers were doing and where HCC had an opportunity to lead the conversation.
What surfaced was a story of contrast: a forward-thinking organization with a mission rooted in innovation and community uplift, paired with a digital presence that felt static and dated. Our goal became clear: to build an online experience that matched the heart, ambition, and impact of the people behind it.
We restructured content so each audience could intuitively navigate to the most relevant information, whether they were applying for an internship, partnering to provide an internship, or supporting the work.
We translated HCC’s brand into a digital-first experience, ensuring every interaction felt purposeful. We explored imagery that spotlighted real people in the health administration world to put human stories front and center.
We introduced a clean, modern design with a fresh color palette, thoughtful typography, and dynamic content areas to highlight programs, regions, and success stories. A bold, user-friendly mega menu made navigation friction-less for HCC’s many audiences.
We added subtle animations, showcasing the movement and momentum driving their work. High-impact photography and human-centered visuals brought forward the real faces behind every health career journey.
Program search features and clearer pathways to apply, support, or partner turned the site into a true engagement engine, not just an information hub.
From loading speeds to interactive elements, no detail was too small to scrutinize. Once we completed content reviews, quality assurance checks, and performance optimizations, we executed a carefully coordinated launch plan.
The rollout was smooth and seamless, with every step designed to minimize disruption and ensure HCC’s new digital presence went live flawlessly, ready to engage and inspire their audience from day one.
